On a malfunctioning rocket

Shattered illusion glistening in the sky 

Like fireworks that never detonated 

As shrapnel starts to disintegrate me I burst into flames 

I turn into ashes slowly falling from the sky 

I blanket the ground with ash dark grey 

Rain pours down on me and washes me away
